About ExMP
ExMP is a boutique structural and civil engineering practice based in Tasmania, servicing projects throughout Tasmania and Australia.
The practice was established to provide clients with direct access to experienced engineering advice, clear communication and continuity of involvement across all project stages. ExMP works closely with project teams to deliver practical, well-considered engineering outcomes that respond to both design intent and construction realities.
Our work spans new developments, upgrades to existing assets and remedial engineering, with a strong focus on collaboration and long-term professional relationships.
Our values
Reliability
Providing consistent, dependable engineering advice across all stages of a project.
Integrity
Acting independently and professionally, with advice that is evidence-based and defensible.
Curiosity
Seeking to fully understand the problem before forming a solution, particularly in complex or existing asset environments.
Discipline
Applying sound engineering judgement, attention to detail and proportionate responses to risk.
Relationships
Valuing people, collaboration and long-term professional relationships as central to good project outcomes.
Engagement
Approaching projects with genuine interest and enjoyment in both the work and the collaboration involved.

How we work
ExMP operates using a relationship-driven model, with direct principal involvement maintained from initial concepts through to construction and onsite compliance.
Projects are not handed over between staff. Technical understanding, context and working relationships are retained throughout the life of the project, supporting clearer decision-making and more efficient delivery.
We work collaboratively with architects, consultants and contractors, drawing on established professional relationships to resolve issues early and minimise rework. Early engineering engagement is encouraged, particularly during concept and design development, where informed structural input can materially improve outcomes for the wider project team.
